No Daddy, No Issues is a Canadian streetwear brand with a mission to inspire and uplift individuals who have faced challenges such as strained relationships with their fathers, estrangement, or growing up in single-parent or broken homes.
"How did daddy issues become an insult to women when it’s men who’ve failed as fathers?"
— @DeeRosee_
We recognize the real pain and trauma tied to experiences of abandonment and neglect. However, we reject the over-sexualized and stigmatized meaning society has attached to the term "Daddy Issues." It’s time to reclaim this narrative.
No Daddy, No Issues (NDNI) is a trauma-informed brand that redefines "Daddy Issues," transforming it into a symbol of resilience and strength.
We refuse to be boxed in by outdated labels. We are not weak-minded. We are not sleazy. We do not crave the validation of older men. Instead, we are self-sufficient, independent, and courageous individuals who rise above life’s challenges.
The label "Daddy Issues" perpetuates harmful stereotypes, implying that women without fathers are inherently hypersexual. This double standard unfairly shames women for expressing their sexuality while celebrating men for the same behavior.
It also frames women as incapable of forming healthy relationships, as if the absence of a father figure inherently determines their ability to connect with others. This not only stigmatizes women but also erases the nuanced and multifaceted experiences of those who have navigated life without traditional parental structures.
Worse still, the term doesn’t just shame women who have complex relationships with their fathers—it undermines the broader movement of sexual liberation for all genders. By reducing women to this trope, it enforces outdated ideas about who women are allowed to be and how they are allowed to express themselves.
At NDNI, we’re flipping the script. We empower individuals to take ownership of their stories, reject harmful stereotypes, and embrace their strength and identity.
"It's not about where you come from—it's about where you're headed."
We’re twin sisters from the outskirts of Toronto, raised by a strong single mother and often labeled with the dismissive term “Daddy Issues.”
Throughout our lives, we heard things like, “You’ll never amount to much” or “You’re incapable of having healthy relationships.” Instead of letting those stereotypes define us, we channeled that energy into creating a brand that empowers and inspires anyone who’s faced similar judgment.
We are so much more than the labels society tries to place on us—and so are you.

Rikki & Bibi
